Dr Doris Chow Sze Ying is a Clinical Oncologist.

She specialises in Clinical Oncology working with both systemic therapy and radiation therapy. Her practice focuses on the areas of breast cancer, brain cancer (central nervous system cancer), thyroid cancer and stereotactic radiosurgery. She also has a special interest in cancer survivorship and breast cancer in young patients. .

Dr Doris graduated with a MD from University Sains Malaysia (School of Medical Sciences) in 2004. Her specialist training and experience include FRCR Clinical Oncology (Manchester, United Kingdom, 2012).

Dr Doris was a recipient of the Rohan Williams Medal in 2012.

She is passionate about improving the quality of life of cancer patients and survivors (physical, mental and emotional). Dr Doris is keen to see progress in the accessibility of quality treatment for all cancer patients and is passionate about psychosocial support for cancer patients and survivors, as well as palliative care and the integration of its services within the community.

Dr Doris is a volunteer at Charis Hospice, a non profit organization that provides free palliative home services for patients with cancer and other advanced illnesses within Penang Island. Charis Hospice focuses on helping patients and families deal with the physical and emotional aspects of living with a terminal disease or an advanced life-threatening illness, and facilitating death with dignity when the time comes.

For leisure, Dr Doris enjoys baking with her daughter and spending time with her family.
